2018 IAHSS AC&E Call For Presentations Is Now Open!

The IAHSS 50th Anniversary AC&E will be held at  the Sheraton Grand in Chicago, IL April 15-18, 2018. Security leaders from both large and small healthcare organizations come seeking strategies, insights, models, and practices as well as lessons learned from real life scenarios to address the ever-changing needs of healthcare security, safety and emergency management. Attendees are looking for solutions that will help to position them as leaders within their organizations.

IAHSS invites experienced facilitators and presenters to submit a proposal to provide education through a variety of learning formats.

  • Facilitated group discussions:  A facilitator introduces a topic and provides thought-provoking questions and exercises to harness the knowledge of the audience in a smaller group setting.
  • General session presentations:  A speaker shares expertise applicable to most attendees
  • Targeted presentations:  Speakers share targeted expertise in a smaller breakout session that may or may not be applicable to all attendees
  • Panel discussions:  A moderator facilitates discussion with a panel of 3-4 experts and may take questions from the audience.

If you want to make an impact on the healthcare security, safety and emergency profession, or you can recommend someone who fits this criteria, then we’d like to hear from you!

SESSION PRESENTER EXPECTATIONS

  1. All presentations MUST be provided electronically on the IAHSS PowerPoint template and in PDF format no later than 4 weeks in advance of the conference for review and preparation.
  2. All audio-visual requests must be indicated on the speaker agreements.
  3. Presentations may not include sales pitches or any promotion of your company's specific products or services. 5. Please be sure to leave ample time for questions (5-10 minutes) at the end of your session.
  6. We take our session evaluations very seriously.  Participants rate education sessions and presenters on a 1-5 scale. The goal is for all presenters to receive a 4.0 or higher.
  7. Upon acceptance more information will be provided.

SESSION PRESENTER BENEFITS

  1. A $500 per session stipend will be offered to all selected sessions to help offset costs related to travel and/or attending the conference.
